Technical Support Specialist

Union Square Media has an opening for a full-time Technical Support Specialist to join our Product team. The Technical Support Specialist will act as liaison between clients and the program/development teams. Our team works across many different channels and our technical support specialists are expected to be able to handle triaging bug reports, feature requests and support issues across all of them.

This specialist role is more technical in nature than customer service positions. It is common for a technical support specialist to interact with databases, troubleshooting network requests via the browser, interacting with the products that we develop in ways that a normal user would not.

This role requires critical thinking, an ability to process information coming from clients and turn it into actionable work. Most communication is via Email, Livechat or Slack. This makes written communication extremely important. A dedication to following a problem from inception to completion is also a key to success in this position.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Handle LiveChat support requests in either online chat or ticket form.
  • Document bugs in Jira and provide recreations of the problem when possible.
  • Be available and attentive to requests across all channels.
  • Be flexible in day-to-day work.
  • Learn the workflows of how a network request works, how conversion “pixels” work and be able to troubleshoot them.

Desired Skills

  • An interest in technology -- software based is preferable. We do very little with hardware.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Follow specific procedures when they are available. Create them when they are not.
  • We try to maintain a very transparent process on interviewing prospective candidates. We are looking to hire someone in January/February 2021, but there are multiple interviews that take place before a potential offer will arrive.

Media Buyer, Google Ads

Union Square Media has an immediate opening for a full-time Google Media Buyer who has experience in performance marketing to join our Media Buying Team. In this role you will be working alongside a team of media buyers and managing high-budget Google ad campaigns. The ideal candidate is an experienced Google ads buyer proficient in all Google placements including search, shopping, discovery, display, and YouTube. Candidate must have experience in performance marketing and be proficient in creative testing and optimization.   • Complete content production including copywriting and image/video editing for ad creatives.
  • Launch, monitor, and optimize Google advertising campaigns from start to finish.
  • A/B test ad copy, images/videos, and funnels effectively to meet performance goals.

Programmatic Media Buyer New York, NY

Union Square Media has an immediate opening for a Programmatic Media Buyer in our New York City location. This role will lead in executing, monitoring, and optimizing ad-exchange Direct Response media buys for a number of brands. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with hands on experience in performance media buying with proven success in buying on various DSPs.

The Programmatic Media Buyer will work on our Native Advertising Team as well as work hand in hand with our sales and account management team to provide campaign analytics and support. This role will teach you how to interpret real-time performance insights, determine winning creative strategies, and optimize our client's media campaigns by using data, metrics, and creative thinking. This role is responsible for conducting creative programmatic media buys, data analysis, preparing analytical reports, conducting competitive research, and building media proposals.

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Business
  • Prior exposure to and basic knowledge of Digital and Performance marketing space
  • Must have at least 1 year working industry experience or applicable internships
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be a process oriented individual with an eye for detail
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Basic proficiency in Excel is a must - advanced formulas such as Vlookup and Pivot Tables is a strong bonus, but not required

  • Analyzing buyers reports to identify buying trends and implement growth solutions
  • Analyzing campaign strategies for media buyers to identify metrics
  • Maintaining statistic reports
  • Working in software to track leads from multiple sources including but not limited to web leads and phone leads
  • Managing advertiser and offer reports to support our sales staff
